I can't open rice bags the right way.
Since I live alone, I go through rice fairly slowly. Maybe two 20-pound bags a year. When the time comes to get a new bag, I can't ever open it to save my life. I've seen my friend (who works in a restaurant) open one in under 3 seconds but I always have to sit down with a pair of scissors and spend 20-minutes trying to crack this asian Rubik's cube. The result is always a pile of shredded thread from me cutting it in 20 places. I know they're chain stitched and you're supposed to untangle one end and just pull the string across and it's done. But after 4 years, I have yet to figure out the trick....
